Yes, friends, its time for the Hackers and Drinkers Golf League Championship.
This week is an individual game, stroke play. Each golfer plays their own ball for all 18 holes. There is no maximum score per hole in stroke play, however for this round we will institute a 10 stroke maximum for any hole for speed of play. Each golfer will have an indvidual score card, that I will prepare before the round. You must exchange that card with someone in your group, so that everyone is keeping score for a different player. At the end of the round the scorer must sign and date the card on the Scorer line, and the player must sign the card on the Attest line. Ask Michelle Wie what happens when you do not sign your score card.
Some local rules to remember:
There are no "gimmies", any "gimmie" is a 2 stroke penalty.
Hitting the pin on a putt while on the green is a 2 stroke penalty. There is no penalty for hitting the pin on your approach shot (off the green). You have the option to keep the pin in or pull it when off the green.
