Week 2 - Greenies

This week we are playing a game I call Greenies. Each team member plays their own ball for each hole like standard golf. The object of this game is for each player on the team to achieve as many greens in regulation as possible.

To achieve a green in regulation, your ball must be on the putting surface in the expected number of strokes in relation to par. The par for a hole always includes two putts, so to achieve a GIR on a par-3, you must reach the green with your first shot (on the green in one, two putts for par). On a par-4, you must reach in two shots (on the green in two, two putts for par). On a par-5, you must reach in three shots.

To claim a GIR, your ball must be on the putting surface. Being 1-inch off the green, in the fringe, but still able to putt the ball does not count. The ball must be on the putting surface.

On the bottom of each team's score card, please use one of the empty spots to keep track of the total number of GIRs for that hole per team. It doesn't matter which player(s) achieved the GIR, just keep track of the total number per hole.

BONUS of 1 point per person per hole by parring (or less) any hole from the sand.

The team with the most total points at the end of the round is declared the winning team.

Teams are as follows, first team member is the team captain and will keep score.

Team 1: Brandon Lemoine, Daniel Powell, Tom Cross, Paul Grey - 4:37
Team 2: Scott Moore, Chuck Herndon, Clay Deveny, David Zobel - 4:44
Team 3: Bob Budnek, Rita Rupnow, Dwight Thomas, Craig Young - 4:52

$10 prize for closest to pin hole #5 and hole #10.

Please be at the course ready to tee off (on the tee box) by 4:30pm.

Please play ready golf, we want to try and finish the round each week. Ready golf allows the golfers within a group to take their swings when each member of the group is ready to play. If you reach your ball and are ready to hit, while other members of your group are not yet prepared, then go ahead and hit.

Be safe and have fun!
