Week 10 - Season Ending Scramble
A scramble is a team game.
"A man stands alone at the plate. This is the time for what? For individual achievement. There he stands alone. But in the field, what? Part of a team. Teamwork... Looks, throws, catches, hustles. Part of one big team. Bats himself the live-long day, Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, and so on. If his team don't field... what is he? You follow me? No one." - Al Capone
In a scramble, each player tees off on each hole. The best of the tee shots is selected and all players play their second shots from that spot. The best of the second shots is determined, then all play their third shots from that spot, and so on until the ball is holed.
I've tried to make these teams as fair as possible. Team Captain please keep score for your team. First team member named will be the captain. Each team member is required to have 2 drives total used for their team.
Each team will tee off from hole #1.
Team 1: 4:30 - Scott Moore, Daniel Powell, Rita Rupnow, Tom Cross - 118
Team 2: 4:37 - Richard Kelly, Bob Budnek, Lamar Bailey, Paul Grey - 116
Team 3: 4:44 - Brandon Lemoine, Chuck Herndon, Jerry Dempsey, Clay Deveny - 116
The numbers are the teams total handicap strokes to show how even they are.
$10 prize for closest to pin on hole #5.
$10 prize for closest to pin on hole #10.
$10 prize for longest drive on hole #6.
As always closest to pin must be on the green and longest drive must be in the fairway.
I encourage everyone to come out to Locos following this weeks round to gather and to hand out the trophies.
